Bergstein, Lena (Brazilian painter, born 1946)
|
Note: Lena Bergstein attended the Escola de Artes Visuais do Parque Lage [School of Visual Arts of Parque Lage], in Rio de Janeiro, from 1964 to 1967. In the 1970s frequents Atelier Printmaking Museu de Arte Moderna [Museum of Modern Art], in Rio de Janeiro, and the studio of Anna Bella Geiger (1933 -). Lena teaches alternative printmaking techniques and introduction to printmaking at the Pontifícia Universidade Católica [Pontifical Catholic University] of Rio de Janeiro between 1980 and 1983, and visual-design vocabulary at the Museum of Modern Art in Rio de Janeiro between 1983 and 1986. In 1988, she became curator and advisor to many cultural events, holds conferences at universities and publishes texts and illustrations of his own. Between 1997 and 1998, teaches drawing from observation, the Arts Department at the Pontifícia Universidade Católica [Pontifical Catholic University] of Rio de Janeiro. |
