Superstudio (Italian architectural group, 1966-1986)
|
Note: Italian architectural group formed in Florence in 1966 by Adolfo Natalini and Cristiano Toraldo di Francia with Roberto Mafris, Gian Piero Frassinelli and Alessandro Magris. Alessandro Poli was a member from 1970 to 1972. They were active in the fields of architecture and design until 1986, and from 1973 have also taught at the University of Florence. The group explored concepts in radical architecture and urban planning, such as negative environments and an anti-architectural utopia where the need for consumer goods had been eliminated. One such example is their best-known work, the Continuous Monument (1969), a sort of non- architectural work to be extended over the whole world. Italian architectural firm, Florence. |
