Note: Żmijewski attended both the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. He received the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo Per L’Arte Prize in 2000 and the Ordway Prize in 2010. His work often addresses political themes and has been described as confrontational. |
