Note: Pauline, along with a team of artists and mechanics, creates elaborate robotic machines at his compound in San Francisco, California. These objects are then deployed in periodic public spectacles at various locations. He prefers that his work is referred to as only a part of what he calls Survival Research Laboratories, or SRL. He has created public performances under this name from around 1979. |
