Gonçalves, Nuno (Portuguese painter, active 1450-1471)

Note: No works certainly by him have survived although there is evidence he painted the St. Vincent polyptych (ca. 1460-70), a masterpiece of 15th-century Portuguese painting; noted for its dry yet realistic style with affinities to Burgundian and Flemish art. He was court artist to King Alfonso V.
