Note: Philippe was the son of Jacques Caffi400eri, who trained him as a bronze founder. He became an an associate in his father's business from 1747. Phillipe was a member of the Académie de Saint-Luc in Paris. Philippe's success enabled him to become a collector. His collection included works by Rembrandt, Teniers, Oudry, Chardin, Boucher and Fragonard, Saly, Falconet, and Challe. |
