Note: Group founded in Montevideo, Uruguay, by painter and theorist Joaquín Torres García after his return to Uruguay from Europe. The group organized an art exhibition program, published an official magazine and organized exhibitions until disbanding in 1963 while simultaneously introducing modernism to the country. |
