Thomon, Thomas de (French architect, 1754-1813, active in Russia)

Note: Thomas de Thomon was a student of David Le Roy at the Académie Royale d'Architecture between 1777 and 1785 and an external student at the French Academy in Rome. He settled in Russia in the 1790s and was appointed court architect to Emperor Alexander I of Russia in 1802. He remained in Russia until his death in 1813. Comment on works: architect, painter
