Grimm, Franz Anton (Czech architect, ca.1710-1784)
|
Note: Studied building with his father, Mauriz Grimm, then painting at the Vienna Academy of Fine Art 1730-1733, and military engineering under Donato Felice Allio from 1733 to 1734, eventually becoming a member of the Imperial Royal Engineering Corps. He was very active as an architect and his best work dates from the 1740s and 1750s. His projects varied in scope from rococo villas to hospitals and bridges. |
