Note: Circa 1852-1853, Keith, a surgeon in Edinburgh, took up photography using the waxed-paper process. Between ca. 1852 and ca. 1856, Keith, along with his brother-in-law John Forbes White, produced photographs of architectural sites in Edinburgh. Keith also photographed on the island of Iona.
