Lemot, François-Frédéric (French sculptor, 1772-1827)

Note: He won the Prix de Rome in 1790, however, his studies in Italy were cut short when he was called into the service of the French revolutionary army. He exhibited at the Salon for the first time in 1802. Upon his return, he worked on commissions for Napolean and thereafter on the restoration of sculptures destroyed during the tulmolt of the previous quarter century.
