Roslavets, Nikolai (Russian composer, 1881-1944)
|
Note: Modernist composer studied violin and composition at the Moscow Conservatory from 1902-1912. His compositions were published in Russian Futurist journals from 1915, and he became a proponent of the avant-garde in Russia. From his youth he was a close friend of Kazimir Malevich. From the late 1920s into the 1930s he became a victim of political purges. |
