Torres, Caciporé (Brazilian painter, born 1935)
|
Note: Brazilian sculptor, designer and teacher. He attended studios of sculpture in Europe and studied history of art at the Sorbonne. In the 1950s, he dedicated himself to abstractionism, producing huge geometric works from metallic pieces of industrial shapes. Several of his sculptures were made to enter public spaces of several cities worldwide. In the 1970s, he was elected president of the International Association of Art, at UNESCO. |

Nos anos 1950, dedicou-se ao abstracionismo, produzindo formas maciças geométricas a partir de peças metálicas de aparência industrial. Muitas de suas esculturas foram feitas para integrar espações público em diversas cidades do mundo. Nos anos 1970, foi eleito presidente da International Association of Art, da Unesco. |
