Zero (International group of artists, active ca. 1957-1966)
|
Note: International group of painters and sculptors devoted to monochromatic, geometric, kinetic, and gestural work. The group issued three publications entitled "Zero" between 1958 and 1961. The Zero group promoted no concrete manifesto, and admitted no official membership, though Heinz Mack, Otto Piene, and Günther Uecker are considered founders. It was officially dissolved in 1966. |
