Note: Adam, son of Jacob-Sigisbert Adam and brother of Lambert-Sigisbert Adam, together with his brother conceived and executed the 'Triumph of Neptune and Amphitrite' for the 'Bassin de Neptune' in the park at Versailles--the work for which they are both best known. His style was more delicate than Lambert-Sigisbert's and influenced the work of Clodion (who was also from Nancy). Comment on works: Sculptor |
