Note: From 1927 to 1928, Ehrhardt attended the Bauhaus School in Dessau, Germany. In 1935, Ehrhardt photographed tidal flats at Cuxhaven in northern Germany. In 1937, Ehrhardt began experimenting with documentary film which became his main medium after 1945.
