Note: The county commune of Roskilde on the eastern part of the island of Zealand was created in 1970 from the Roskilde county council district of the former Copenhagen county, and northern portion of the former Praestø county. The county measured some 344 square miles. The 2004 estimated population was 224,700. In 2007, all counties in Denmark were eliminated and five large regions created. |
