Note: Lezhë is a town located on the Drin River, on a steep hill. It was the site of several prehistoric settlements, and was an important ancient port when the main bed of the Drin River was further to the north. Fortified in the 4th century BCE, it was claimed by Dionysius of Syracuse and Philip V of Macedon. |
