Note: There was a 1st century CE Roman fort here on the left bank of the river Camel, southwest of Bodmin. It was built during Nero's reign, probably after 60 CE, and was abandoned ca. 80 CE; finds from excavations here are housed at the Royal Institution of Cornwall Museum, Truro.
