Note: The British provinces of Rome were restructured again either by Diocletian (ca. 296) or by Constantine (ca. 312); the existing provinces were each split into two. Britannia Superior in southern Britain became Britannia Prima in the west and Maxima Caesariensis in the east. Maxima Caesariensis was governed from London.
