Note: Severocdesky, or Northern Bohemia, is the smallest of the Czech Republic's regions. It was established in 1993 with the creation of the modern Czech Republic. A rich agricultural area, it produces wheat, barley, sugar beets, hay, alfalfa, and potatoes. Its minerals include brown coal, tin, tungsten, fluorite, iron ore, and kaolin clay. Semiprecious stones are mined at Třebívlice. Tourism is also a major industry. |
