Note: Situated in north-central Spain, Segovia borders the Madrid province to the southeast. Wheat, rye, barley, hemp, flax and vegetables are some of the cultivated produce. Sheep, cattle, mules and pigs are reared; granite, limestone, and marble are quarried at northern basin of the Sierra de Guadarrama. Summer resorts are at El Espinar and San Rafael.
