Note: Established by the 7th century BCE, translating to "Land of the Tattooed Men." Covering a territory in the Red River delta including present day Hanoi and Hai Phong as well as parts of Southern China, its capital was Phong Chǎu. The kingdom united different tribes in northern Vietnam under the Đǒng Sởn, considered to be the oldest bronze-using culture in the area.
