Note: Books, with or without text in which the essential information is conveyed through a collection of photographic images. These may be authored by one or more artists or photographers, or arranged by an editor. Generally the images in a photobook are meant to be viewed in context, as parts of a larger whole. Most often used to refer to mechanically reproduced and commercially distributed works. For albums made up of mounted photographic prints, with or without identifying information, use "photograph albums."

| Dutch ..... Boek met of zonder tekst waarin de essentiële informatie wordt overgedragen middels een verzameling fotografische afbeeldingen. Het boek kan het werk bevatten van één of meer kunstenaars of fotografen, of kan door een redactie zijn samengesteld. De afbeeldingen in een fotoboek zijn vaak bedoeld om in context te worden bekeken, als deel van een groter geheel. Meestal verwijst de term naar mechanisch gereproduceerde en commercieel verspreide werken. Gebruik 'fotoalbums' voor albums waarin fotografische afdrukken, al dan niet voorzien van een toelichting, zijn ingeplakt. |
