Note: Lamps with eight small oil fonts or candle sockets, one for each day of observance of the festival of Hanukkah, and a ninth oil font or candle socket, called the shamash or server, used for lighting the others. For the holy candelabra used in the Jewish Temple, use "menorahs (temple lamps)."

Additional Notes:
Chinese (traditional) ..... 包含八盞小油壺或蠟燭托座的燈,每一盞代表慶祝光明節期間的每一天。第九盞則稱為沙瑪什 (shamash),為服務者之意,用以點燃其他燈燭。經常與七燈或九燈燭臺(menorah)產生混淆,即「出埃及記」中所形容,用於耶路撒冷猶太聖殿中的分枝燭臺。 
Dutch ..... Lampen met acht kleine oliehouders of kaarshouders, één voor elke dag van het Chanoeka-feest. Een negende oliehouder of kaarshouder wordt de sjamasj of dienaar genoemd en wordt gebruikt om de anderen aan te steken. Ze worden vaak verward met de menorah, de heilige kandelaber die in de joodse tempel in Jeruzalem wordt gebruikt en in het boek Exodus wordt beschreven. 
German ..... Lampe mit acht kleinen Ölgefäßen oder Kerzenhaltern, eine für jeden Tag der Feier des Chanukkafestes, und ein neunter Ölbehälter oder Kerzenhalter, der Schamasch bzw. "Diener" genannt wird, mit dem die anderen angezündet werden. Oft verwechselt mit der Menora, dem heiligen Leuchter aus dem jüdischen Tempel in Jerusalem, der im zweiten Buch Mose beschrieben wird. 
Spanish ..... Lámparas con ocho pequeños depósitos de aceite o casquillos para vela, uno por cada día de observancia del festival de hanukkah, y un noveno depósito de aceite o casquillo para vela llamado shamash o servidor, utilizado para encender los otros. A menudo confundido con el menorah, el candelabro santo usado en el Templo Judío en Jerusalén y descrito en el Libro del Éxodo.
