Note: Iranian lutelike chordophones having a small pear-shaped body, long neck with movable frets and three or four metal strings. Originating from the 15th century or earlier, it had three strings until the mid-19th century, when a fourth was added.

Chinese (traditional) ..... 指類似魯特琴的伊朗弦鳴樂器,具有小型梨狀琴身、具可移動琴品的長琴頸、及三或四根金屬琴弦。起源於十五世紀,或甚至更早之前;早期的塞塔爾琴具有三根琴弦,十九世紀中葉之後,則發展出第四根琴弦。 
Dutch ..... Snaarinstrumenten met een peervormige klankkast en lange hals met beweegbare frets, 3 metalen snaren, sinds ca. 1850 ook 4 snaren; Iran, 15de eeuw of eerder. 
Spanish ..... Cordófonos iraníes tipo laúd, que tienen un cuerpo pequeño en forma de pera, un mástil largo con trastes movibles y tres o cuatro cuerdas de metal. Se originaron en el siglo XV o antes, y tuvieron tres cuerdas hasta mediados del siglo XIX, cuando se agregó una cuarta.
