De term wordt het meest gebruikt voor afbeeldingen in boeken of gepubliceerde tijdschriften. Gebruik 'studies (beeldmateriaal)' voor werken die een onderwerp bestuderen of een voorloper zijn op een apart en meer afgerond werk. Gebruik 'miniaturen' of 'verluchtingen' voor schilderingen in manuscripten. |
