Note: Beads with religious significance that were introduced to Japan from Korea. They are found in the prehistoric graves of ancient Japan and it is thought that they were worn on the body from the beginning of Japan's recorded history up until the Kofun period (300-710). These beads were carved from jadeite, agate, talc, glass or jasper usually into comma shapes and varied in size from a few millimeters to five centimeters. |

Chinese (traditional) ..... 由朝鮮傳入日本的珠飾,具有宗教意義,以硬玉、瑪瑙、滑石、水晶或碧玉刻製而成,形似逗號,大小從數公釐至五公分不等;發現於日本的史前古墓,普遍認為人類從日本的信史時代到古墳時代(西元300-710年間),曾將勾玉佩戴於身。 |
Dutch ..... Kralen met een religieuze betekenis die in Japan werden geïntroduceerd vanuit Korea. In Japan heeft men ze gevonden in prehistorische graven. Men denkt dat ze vanaf het begin van de Japanse geschiedenis tot en met de Kofun-periode (300-710) op het lichaam werden gedragen. De kralen werden gesneden uit jadeïet, agaat, mica, glas of jaspis, gewoonlijk in de vorm van een komma. De grootte varieert van een paar millimeter tot vijf centimeter. |

Diese Perlen werden aus Jadeiten, Achaten, Talk, Glas oder Jaspis meist in Kommaform geschnitzt und haben unterschiedliche Größen von einigen Millimetern bis zu fünf Zentimetern. |

Elas são encontradas em túmulos pré-históricos de japoneses anciões e acredita-se que eram usadas no corpo desde o começo da história registrada do Japão até o período Kofun (300-710). Essas contas eram esculpidas em jadeita, ágata, talco, vidro ou jaspe, geralmente em formato de vírgula e de tamanhos diversos entre poucos milímetros e cinco centímetros. |
