|
Note: A seat for one person, often without a back. They were the most common type of seat furniture until the 19th century. Distinct from "benches" in that they seat only one person; usually distinguished from "chairs" in that they have no back; however, tall seating pieces at a bar or counter are called stools though they sometimes have backs. Generally made in two types; one supported on four straight legs and the other with legs arranged crosswise. |

Chinese (traditional) ..... 僅供一個人坐的座椅,通常沒有靠背,是西元十九世紀之前最為普遍的一種座位家具。與「長凳」有所區隔,因為凳子只能容納一個人;通常也與「椅」有所不同,因為凳子沒有靠背;然而,吧台或櫃檯邊的高腳椅也被稱為凳子,不論有無靠背。一般而言凳子分成兩種類別,一種是以四隻筆直凳腳支撐,另一種的凳腳則是交叉式。 |
Dutch ..... Het meest algemene soort zitmeubel tot de 19e eeuw. Ze verschillen van 'banken' omdat er maar één persoon op past en worden meestal onderscheiden van 'stoelen' omdat ze geen rugleuning hebben. De hoge zitmeubels bij een bar of toonbank worden echter ook krukken genoemd, hoewel ze soms een rugleuning hebben. Ze worden meestal in twee typen uitgevoerd; het ene type heeft vier rechte poten en bij het andere type kruisen de poten elkaar. |

Spanish ..... El mueble para sentarse más común hasta el siglo XIX. Se diferencia de "banco” en los cuales se sienta solamente una persona; normalmente se diferencian de las "sillas" en que no tienen respaldo; sin embargo, piezas para sentarse altas en un bar o mostrador son llamados taburetes aunque algunas veces tienen respaldos. Generalmente fabricados en dos tipos; uno apoyado sobre cuatro patas rectas y el otro con patas dispuestas diagonalmente. |
