Note: Curule-type chair that derives from the x-frame folding stools of ancient Egypt. It is characterized by a non-folding curule base supporting an embossed leather or cane sling back and seat. Believed to be of Spanish origin, they are named for the port city on the Yucatán Peninsula. Often found in Louisiana among plantation furniture of the 19th century.

| Chinese (traditional) ..... 樣式仿造古羅馬象牙席座的椅子，是由古埃及的X形摺疊凳所衍生而來。它的特徵為仿古羅馬象牙席座樣式的非摺疊椅座，其上所支撐的懸吊式椅背與椅面以具浮凸圖案的皮革或植物枝條製成。據信此種椅子起源於西班牙，其名稱來自墨西哥尤加敦半島的一個港口城市之名。為西元十九世紀時美國路易斯安納州大農莊住民的常用家具。 |
| Dutch ..... Curule-stoel die is afgeleid van de vouwkrukken met gekruist onderstel uit het oude Egypte. De stoel wordt gekenmerkt door een niet-vouwbare curule-onderstel met daarop een verstelbare rugleuning van reliëfleer of riet. Aangenomen wordt dat ze van Spaanse herkomst zijn en ze zijn genoemd naar de havenstad op het schiereiland Yucatán. Veelvuldig aangetroffen in Louisiana tussen plantagemeubilair uit de 19de eeuw. |
