Note: The seung is a traditional plucked fretted lute from the Lanna region of northern Thailand, constructed from hardwood with four or six steel strings arranged in courses of two and nine bamboo frets. The instrument plays a significant role in Lanna cultural heritage as part of the traditional salo-so-sueng ensemble. |
