Dutch ..... Klasse van ambachts- of kooplieden die leefden in stedelijke gebieden en worden geassocieerd met de productie van een groot gedeelte van de kunst, muziek, literatuur en drama in Japan tijdens de Edo-periode (1615-1868). Deze klasse omvat zowel rijke financiers en groothandelaars als arme ambachtslieden, venters en dagloners. De term wordt vaak vertaald als 'stadsmensen' of 'stedelingen'. |
