Note: Spoons of various forms, designed to administer liquid medicine and having calibration or otherwise indicating the amount contained in the spoon. One common form is a handle having a bowl on both ends, one measuring a tablespoon and the other a teaspoon. Another form is a glass or porcelain oblong cup with a spout for pouring into the mouth and a handle. Modern forms may be of plastic, of various shapes and designs to allow deposit of the medicine in the mouth of a child or invalid.

| Chinese (traditional) ..... 服用藥水所用的杓匙，外形不一，但都具有刻度或其他標示藥劑容量的設計。常見形式之一為握把狀，兩端皆具小缽，一端為一湯匙，另一端則為一茶匙之容量；另一形式則為玻璃或瓷製橢圓形杯子，具把手並有壺嘴以供將藥劑倒入口中。現代形式之藥匙則可能為塑膠材質，具各種將藥劑送入孩童或病患口中的設計。 |
| Dutch ..... Lepels van uiteenlopende vorm, ontworpen voor het toedienen van vloeibare geneesmiddelen, met een schaal of andere hoeveelheidsaanduiding in de lepel. Een veelvoorkomende vorm is een handvat met aan beide uiteinden een schep, de ene ter grootte van een eetlepel en de andere ter grootte van een theelepel. Een andere vorm is een glazen of porseleinen langwerpige beker met een handvat en een tuit om het medicijn in de mond te gieten. Moderne vormen zijn vaak van plastic en hebben uiteenlopende vormen en ontwerpen om het medicijn in de mond van een kind of invalide te kunnen gieten. |
