Note: Small washable mats, often crocheted, used in the 19th century to protect the backs and arms of upholstered seating and reclining furniture from the stains caused by Macassar oil or other hair preparations. In the late 19th century, these were replaced by "tidies."

| Chinese (traditional) ..... 以鈎針織成的小型墊子，可清洗，十九世紀時用來保護有襯墊的座椅與躺椅以免沾染到馬加撒(Macassar)髮油或其他整髮用品。在十九世紀後期由「椅被套」(tidies)取代。 |
| Dutch ..... Kleine, vaak gehaakte kleedjes, die in de 19e eeuw werden gebruikt om de rug- en armleuningen van gestoffeerd zit- en ligmeubilair te beschermen tegen vlekken door makassarolie of andere haarproducten. Geen Nederlands equivalent. In het Nederlands zijn 'antimakassars' en 'leuningleggers' synoniemen. Zie 'antimakassars' . |

Pequeños tapetes lavables, a menudo hechos a crochet, usadas en el siglo XIX para proteger los respaldos, brazos de asientos y muebles reclinables de las manchas causadas por el aceite Macasar u otras preparaciones para el pelo.
