| Spanish ..... Se refiere a las direcciones referenciadas en un compás, el cual es un instrumento para medición de una dirección de referencia horizontal relativo al norte magnético. Los cuatro puntos básicos son superior, inferior, derecha e izquierda de los lados de una brújula, que corresponden al norte, sur, este y oeste. Los puntos entre los cuatro puntos básicos son descritos por la combinación de términos, por ejmplo, noreste, sureste, etc.
