Note: Nationality, culture, and style of one of the four major divisions of the ancient Greek people, along with the Doric, Achaeans and Ionians. They came from the area of Aeolia, comprising a group of ancient cities on the west coast of Anatolia, founded beginning ca. 1130-1000 BCE by Greeks speaking an Aeolic dialect.

| Dutch ..... Nationaliteit, cultuur en stijl van een de vier oud-Griekse hoofdvolkeren, samen met de Doriërs, de Achaeërs en de Ioniërs. Ze kwamen uit het gebied Aeolis, dat een groep oude steden aan de westkust van Anatolië omvatte. Deze steden waren tussen ongeveer 1130 en 1000 v.Chr. gesticht door Grieken die een Eolisch dialect spraken. |
