Note: A body-encasing costume in the form of a jaguar with a quetzal-feather crest on the head. Worn by prestigious Mexica warriors of postclassic central Mexico. They are depicted in both Native and colonial documents in a variety of colors, indicating that they were likely constructed out of feathers as well as actual jaguar pelts.

Spanish ..... Traje de cuerpo completo en forma de jaguar con un penacho de plumas de quetzal. Lo llevaban los prestigiosos guerreros mexicas del México central postclásico. Aparecen en documentos indígenas y coloniales en una variedad de colores, lo que indica que probablemente se elaboraban con plumas así como con pieles de jaguar.
