Note: Describes works created by the nomadic Turkish people of the same name of southeastern Europe. Originating in the region between the Ural and the Volga rivers, the people were very active militarily in the area north of the Black Sea from the ninth to the 12th century. After their defeat at Constantinople in 1091, they lost most of their military power and moved into what are now Hungary and Bulgaria to settle there.

Dutch ..... Beschrijft werken die zijn vervaardigd door het gelijknamige Turkse nomadenvolk in het zuidoosten van Europa. Dit volk, dat zijn oorsprong heeft in het gebied tussen de Oeral en de Wolga, was van de 9de tot de 12de eeuw n. Chr. militair zeer actief in het gebied ten noorden van de Zwarte Zee. Nadat de Petsjeneg in 1091 bij Konstantinopel waren verslagen, verloren ze hun militaire macht grotendeels en vestigden ze zich in het latere Hongarije en Bulgarije. 
Spanish ..... Descripción de las obras creadas por el pueblo nómada turco del mismo nombre, del sureste de Europa. Originarios de la región entre los ríos Urales y Volga, muy activos militarmente en la zona norte del Mar Negro durante el siglo XII d.C. Después de una derrota en la ciudad de Constantinopla en 1091, perdieron la mayoría de su poder militar, trasladándose e instalándose en lo que ahora son Hungría y Bulgaria.
