Note: Native American duct flutes traditionally made of wood or cane, in which the bore is blocked by a partition which forces the airstream out through a hole where an external block, normally of wood tied on to the tube, channels the air along the exterior of the tube to a second hole where it impinges on the voicing edge; traditionally used as a man's solo courting instrument.

| Chinese (traditional) ..... 美洲原住民的管笛，傳統上由木材或藤莖所製成，其內管以隔板檔住，迫使氣流經由孔洞排出，然後經過繫在管身上的外部隔板（通常由木材所製成），將氣流沿著管身的外部，引導至第二個洞孔，氣流就會衝擊到發音邊緣；傳統為男性獨奏的示愛樂器。 |
| Dutch ..... Indianenfluiten, die traditiegetrouw van hout of riet werden gemaakt, waarbij de boring door een tussenschot geblokkeerd wordt zodat de lucht door een gat naar buiten wordt gedrukt. Boven dit gat is een houten blokje op de buis gebonden zodat de lucht aan de buitenkant van de fluit naar een tweede gat wordt geleid, waar de lucht de aanblaasrand beroert; werd oorspronkelijk gemaakt als instrument om vrouwen het hof te maken. |

Flautas de tubo de los pueblos nativos americanos tradicionalmente hechas de madera o caña, en que la perforación es bloqueada por un compartimiento que fuerza la corriente de aire fuera de la abertura donde un bloque externo, normalmente de madera está ligado al tubo, canaliza el aire a través del exterior del tubo a un segundo orificio en donde impacta con el borde sonorizante; tradicionalmente usado como un instrumento de corte masculino para ejecutar solos. |
