| Dutch ..... Doodskisten van uiteenlopend ontwerp, grotendeels uit de 18de en 19de eeuw, die zo werden gemaakt vanwege de algemene angst voor een voortijdige begrafenis. Ze kunnen een venster hebben om levenden de gelegenheid te geven het begraven lichaam te zien, of mechanismen waarmee begravenen uit de kist kunnen ontsnappen of anderen kunnen waarschuwen als ze weer bij bewustzijn komen, inclusief bellen en sloten die vanuit de kist kunnen worden bediend, en ladders waarmee zij uit het graf kunnen klimmen. |
