Note: Type of banded wine cup common throughout the Mediterranean in the sixth and seventh centuries BCE. The designation is something of a misnomer as the cups were made in several parts of the Greek world including Sicily and Southern Italy. Nonetheless, they are ultimately dependent on an East Greek model.

| Dutch ..... Soort wijnbeker met band, die in de zesde en zevende eeuw v. Chr. voorkwam in het hele Middellandse Zeegebied. De benaming is feitelijk niet helemaal juist, omdat de bekers in verschillende delen van de Griekse wereld zijn gemaakt, ook in Sicilië en Zuid-Italië. Wel stond een Oost-Grieks model aan de basis van het ontwerp. |
