Note: Double clarinets of India and Ceylon, consisting of two parallel pipes each with a single beating reed and a regionally variable number of fingerholes, fitted into a globular gourd made airtight with wax which acts as both blowpipe and wind chamber. Usually the right pipe serves as a melody pipe and the left as a drone pipe with its holes plugged as required.

Additional Notes:
Chinese (traditional) ..... 印度跟斯里蘭卡的複單簧管,由兩個平行的笛管所構成,每管各有一振動簧片,指孔數目則因地而異,笛管固定於以蠟密封的球狀葫蘆中,可同時作為吹管及風箱。通常右管為旋律管,左管則為單音管,有必要時會將指孔堵住。 
Dutch ..... Dubbele klarinetten bestaande uit twee evenwijdige pijpen, ieder met een enkel opslaand riet en een per streek verschillend aantal vingergaten, bevestigd op een ronde kalebas, die luchtdicht is afgesloten met was en die dienst doet als blaaspijp en windkamer. Meestal dient de rechter pijp als een melodiepijp en de linker als brompijp, waarbij de gaten waar nodig zijn gestopt; vervaardigd en bespeeld in India en Ceylon. 
German ..... Doppelklarinette aus Indien und Ceylon, bestehend aus zwei parallelen Röhren mit einer einzigen aufschlagenden Zunge und einer regional unterschiedlichen Anzahl von Fingerlöchern, eingepasst in eine runde Kalebasse, luftdicht verschlossen mit Wachs, die als Blasrohr wie als Windkammer fungiert. Gewöhnlich dient die rechte Pfeife als Melodiepfeife und die linke als Bordunpfeife, deren Löcher nach Bedarf verschlossen werden. 
Spanish ..... Clarinetes dobles de la India y de Ceylán que consisten en dos tubos paralelos, cada uno con una lengüeta batiente y un número variable de orificios para los dedos según las regiones, introducidos dentro de una calabaza globular cerrada en forma hermética con cera la cual actúa como tubo para soplar y cámara de aire. Generalmente el tubo derecho sirve como tubo melódico y el izquierdo como un roncón cuyos orificios se tapan cuando se requiere.
