Note: The Events hierarchy contains generic terms for occurrences, happenings, and occasions of a social, cultural, religious, or personal nature (e.g., "anniversaries," "concerts," "births," the names of holidays such as "Christmas"). It does not include one-time occurrences with proper names (e.g., "coronations" would be included, but not "Coronation of Charlemagne"). Relation to other hierarchies: Terms for activities and methodologies associated with specific contexts (e.g., "researching," "adjucication") are in the Functions hierarchy. Terms relating to actions performed with concrete objects and materials (e.g., "polishing"), are found in the Processes and Techniques hierarchy. Proper names for singular events are found in the CONA Iconography Authority.

| Chinese (traditional) ..... 「事件」層級包含社會、文化、宗教或個人特質的事件與場合之描述語（例如：週年紀念日、音樂會、出生、假日名稱）。此層級不包括具專有名詞的一次性事件（例如：本層級收錄「加冕」，但不收錄「查理曼大帝加冕禮」）。與其他層級的關係如下：與特定背景（例如：研究、課稅）有關的活動與方法之描述語，收錄在「功能」層級。應用於具體物件和材料的行動（例如：拋光）之描述語，則收錄在「過程與技術」層級。

De hiërarchie Gebeurtenissen bevat descriptoren voor voorvallen, evenementen en gelegenheden van sociale, culturele, religieuze of persoonlijke aard (bijvoorbeeld verjaarsfeesten, concerten, geboorten en namen van feestdagen). Niet opgenomen zijn eenmalige gebeurtenissen met een eigennaam. Zo is bijvoorbeeld wel 'kroningen' opgenomen, maar niet 'kroning van Karel de Grote'. Relatie met andere hiërarchieën. Descriptoren voor activiteiten en methodieken die worden geassocieerd met een specifieke context (bijvoorbeeld belasting heffen en wetenschappelijk onderzoeken) zijn te vinden in de hiërarchie Functionele activiteiten. Descriptoren met betrekking tot bewerkingen die worden uitgevoerd met concrete objecten en materialen (bijvoorbeeld polijsten), zijn te vinden in de hiërarchie Procédés en technieken. |
