Note: Wood of the species Diospyros digyna, native to eastern Mexico, Central America, and south to Colombia. The wood is yellowish to deep-yellow with black markings near the heart of old trunks; it is compact and suitable for cabinetwork. Reports of dark wood utilized for furniture are probably the result of confusion with other species of the genus Diospyros.

| Chinese (traditional) ..... 黑柿（Diospyros digyna）的木材，為墨西哥東部、中美洲的原生種植物，向南延伸至哥倫比亞。此種木材在接近老樹幹的樹心處，呈偏黃色至深黃色夾雜黑色紋路。木材結實，適合製作細工家具。有關以此深色木材製作家具的說法，可能是與其他柿屬（Diospyros）木材混淆的結果。 |
| Dutch ..... Hout van de boomsoort Diospyros digyna, die inheems is in het oosten van Mexico, Midden-Amerika en in zuidelijke richting tot Colombia. Het hout is geelachtig tot diepgeel met zwarte tekeningen bij het hart van oude stammen; het is compact en geschikt voor schrijnwerk. Meldingen dat donker hout is gebruikt voor meubilair ontstaan waarschijnlijk doordat het wordt verward met andere soorten van het genus Diospyros. |
