Dutch ..... Verwijst naar kisten, met name Italiaanse kisten die vanaf de 14de tot en met de 16de eeuw werden vervaardigd, hoofdzakelijk in Florence, Siena en de Veneto. Vaak waren ze voorzien van rijk beeldsnijwerk of rijke decoraties met pastiglia en geschilderde panelen. Meestal liet men ze per paar vervaardigen wanneer een huis werd ingericht voor een jong echtpaar, en werden ze door de bruidegom gekocht. |
German ..... Verweist auf eine Truhe, vorzugsweise aus Italien, die vom 14. bis hin zum 16. Jahrhundert hauptsächlich in Florenz, Sienna und im Veneto produziert worden ist. Sie war oft reich geschnitzt oder mit Pastigliadekoration und germalten Täfelungen verziert. Sie wurde üblicherweise, wenn ein Haus für ein neu verheiratetes Paar renoviert wurde, in Paaren in Auftrag gegeben und vom Bräutigam erworben. |
Italian ..... Con questo termine nel sec. XIV si designò un mobile basso, rettangolare, con coperchio a cerniera, in origine ricavato dal tronco di un albero e adibito a molteplici usi, nel sec. XV il cassone adottò modelli più eleganti ed elaborati, divisi in pannelli. |
Portuguese ..... Refere-se aos baús, particularmente aos baús italianos produzidos entre os séculos XIV e XVI, principalmente em Florença, Siena e Vêneto. Eles eram muitas vezes ricamente esculpidos ou decorados com decoração de pastiglia e painéis pintados. Eles eram normalmente encomendados em pares quando uma casa era reformada para um casal recém-casado e geralmente eram comprados pelo noivo. |
