Note: Prints made from the photographic process in which the developed silver in a gelatin print is used as a catalyst to tan the gelatin, and the untanned highlights are used as a resist to a greasy ink. The original plate may be the end product or may be used as a master for transferring the image to another support. Resulting prints resemble etchings or lithographs. Though the process was originally described ca. 1907, prints may be made in this way using modern enlarging papers.

| Dutch ..... Oliedrukken, waarbij wordt uitgegaan van een vergroting op bromidepapier, zodat een contactnegatief niet nodig is. Het fotopapier wordt na de normale afwerking gebleekt, waarbij het zilverbeeld verdwijnt en een in verschillende mate gelooid gelatinereliëf overblijft. Hiervan worden afdrukken gemaakt. |

Druck, der durch fotografisches Verfahren hergestellt wird, bei dem das entwickelte Silber im Gelatinedruck als Katalysator verwendet wird, um die Gelatine zu gerben; auf den ungehärteten hellen Stellen haftet die Ölfarbe nicht an. Dieses Bild kann das Endprodukt darstellen oder es wird als Druckvorlage verwendet, um das Bild auf einen anderen Träger zu übertragen. Die entstandenen Drucke ähneln Radierungen oder Lithografien. Obwohl das Verfahren um 1907 beschrieben wurde, kann der Druck auch mit modernen großformatigen Blättern angefertigt werden. |
