Note: Refers to the philosophical and literary movement associated with the writing of French scholar Jacques Derrida in the 1960s and later applied to the visual arts and architecture in the 1980s. In architecture, the style is charcterized by a purposeful displacement of structural elements, resulting in buildings with no specific purpose.
