Record Type: concept
nanotextiles (<textile materials by composition or origin>, textile materials, ... Materials (hierarchy name))

Note: Refers to fabrics engineered with nanofibers having a width of less than 1000 nanometers. These have many applications thanks to such advantageous properties as extreme water-resistance and elasticity. There has been concern expressed regarding environmental and health effects of nanomaterials in nanotextiles released into air, soil, or groundwater or in direct contact with wearer.

Terms:
nanotextiles (preferred,C,U,English-P,D,U,U)
nanotextile (C,U,English,UF,U,U)
nanotextiel (C,U,Dutch-P,D,U,U)

Additional Notes:
Dutch .....
