Note: Machines used on dairy farms and in factories for separating and removing cream from whole milk, consisting of a centrifuge in the form of a rapidly revolving bowl containing a set of disks and mounted on a spindle. Milk enters the bowl at the top, and as the bowl revolves, the heavier skim milk is thrown to the outer sides and led off through openings while the cream concentrates in the interior and is led off through a cream outlet at the center.

| Dutch ..... Machines die in melkveebedrijven en fabrieken worden gebruikt om room van volle melk te scheiden, bestaande uit een centrifuge in de vorm van een snel ronddraaiende kom met een aantal schijven en bevestigd op een as. De melk wordt van bovenaf in de kom gegoten en door de draaiende beweging wordt de zwaardere taptemelk naar de buitenwanden geslingerd en via de openingen afgevoerd terwijl de room in het midden van de kom achterblijft en wordt afgevoerd via een opening in het midden. |
