Note: Culinary utensils that are basically flat, such as forks and spoons, and have no cutting edge. Distinguished from "hollowware" such as drinking vessels and bowls. In modern usage the term embraces all types of flat culinary utensils with or without a cutting edge; however, prefer "cutlery" when referring to culinary utensils with a cutting edge, especially various forms of knives used for food. Flatware is now usually made in sets having on the handles similar or related decorative patterns. |

Flachgeschirr wird heutzutage meist im Set mit an den Griffen gleichen oder ähnlichen dekorativen Mustern hergestellt. Der Begriff kann sich auch auf relativ flaches Geschirr beziehen, beispielsweise Teller und Untertassen. |
Spanish ..... Utensilios culinarios que son básicamente planos, tales como tenedores y cucharas, y que no tienen bordes cortantes. Se diferencia de "hollowware”, tales como vasos para beber y bowls. Algunas veces se utiliza para abarcar todo tipo de utensilios culinarios planos, con o sin bordes cortantes, pero sin embargo prefiera "cuchillería” para hacer referencia a los utensilios culinarios con borde cortante, especialmente varias formas de cuchillos utilizados para la comida. |
